The rest of the country could stand to take a lesson from Maine and instead of whining and complaining about losing a job, standing up and saying "okay, what's next?" and learning something new.

The residents of Maine are hardy folks-they have to be to deal with the cold winters-and they are proving themselves to be optimistic and innovative as well. If only everyone could be as inspiring as the residents of Maine!

Hell's Kitchen - The PC Game Review

The PC game version of Hell's Kitchen is a lot of fun for the fans of Gordon Ramsay's cooking show. The game itself is interesting and has a range of difficulty levels. There is more to this game than meets the spatula. You are not just a cook anymore.

Like many time management games, Hell's Kitchen starts off easy while you learn the controls and the gist of what you are supposed to be cooking up. You learn about cutting all the vegetables and the other delicate preparations that are needed to make your glorious feast come out perfect. Once you have passed that level the game becomes harder than you might expect as you do not have the secondary help of Jean-Phillipe for running the dining room like you might expect if you watch the show.

One of the challenging aspects of the Hell's Kitchen game is that you are not able to stay in the kitchen and prepare wonderful creations for edifying the taste buds. You are stuck doing the work yourself, You get help from your wait staff, but only so far as you know how to direct them. Although your help does increase as you become more skilled, you are still making a mad dash to keep from burning down your restaurant and losing valuable customers. Not to mention ruining your sweet delicacies that you have concocted.

Watch out! You do not want to overcook the vegetables or you will be the target of Chef Ramsay's voice and although he does not say quite the same things as his television show, it is a daunting experience nonetheless and quite distracting as you are trying to save the rest of your orders. The Hell's Kitchen game is about timing (as usual with cooking and time management games), just like real life cooking. Not only do you have to prepare the meal correctly, and in the right order, you have to do it so that EVERY order for one table is finished at the same time. So be sure to hone your time management skills.

Although the main focus of the Hell's Kitchen game is the cooking skills, it is also about management and gives you an idea of what running a restaurant is like. In fact, as your skill increases (do not forget to prep the meat!), and your levels raise, you will be required to run not one but two kitchens at once! But don't be discouraged. As you finish a level, you get one of Chef Gordon Ramsay's personal recipes for your private collection. Talk about a bonus! It almost makes up for him yelling at you as your customers are leaving. If you like dash games like Cooking Dash, Cake Mania or Diner Dash, this takes it to the next level!

PDF Password Finder Tips

PDFs come in all shapes and sizes. You can have your own PDF documents that you create to send to work colleagues and you can buy PDF files in the form of eBooks. Many eBooks come encrypted with a password so that only those people who have actually purchased them can have access to them. But if you lose that password then you have no way of accessing the eBook and you need to download or buy a PDF password finder program.

Before you lose all hope, first do a quick mental inventory. It is surprising what can suddenly spring to mind if we think carefully. Are you sure you don't remember the lost password? If you received the PDF file from a colleague, do they always use a certain password? Or a certain theme? One of my colleagues always uses her children's names! Not very secure I know, but really useful if you have forgotten the password from one of her files!

If all else fails, then you have no choice. A quick search of the internet will reveal a multitude of software which is available to help you to recover your lost password. Easy to Read Fonts in Newsletters

The fonts you use in your mailing will determine how legible your text is, give your words emphasis, set mood and emotion behind those words, and make your newsletter cohesive. Any font used in your newsletter has to be available on your subscriber's computer in order for it to be displayed properly. For this reason you need to ensure that the font you are using is commonly used on the majority of your subscriber's computers so that your mailing looks the same for everyone.

The most commonly used fonts are Times New Roman and Arial. Other commonly used fonts include Comic Sans M S, Tahoma, and Verdana. What looks good in print does not necessarily translate well onto the computer screen. While Times New Roman is the default for most web browsers, possibly because most books and printed media use this font for its readability, studies show that on the computer screen users overwhelmingly find Arial easier to read. There is a slight preference for Arial over Verdana at the 12 pt font level and an overwhelming preference for Verdana at the 10 pt level. For this reason we have found that of all the commonly used fonts most people prefer Verdana at 10 pt or Arial at 12 pt. There are other fonts that your subscribers may find easy to read such as Georgia, which was developed by Microsoft for its readability, but we suggest staying away from this as it is not as widely installed on all computers.

Never include too many fonts in a single email. If you do use more than one font in your newsletter then limit yourself to using only two or three different fonts. It is perfectly acceptable to use one font for your headlines and another font for your body text. This will avoid making your newsletter cluttered and unattractive to your subscribers. Newspapers typically use only one font style and size in their articles and only one or two style elements in their articles. If your text exceeds the size of your layout you should cut out words rather than reduce the size of your fonts. Remember, the more succinct your writing is the more weight your words will carry.

Style elements are what you use to give emphasis to your text. Rather than overusing fonts it's suggested that you instead focus on style elements. Bold text is used to give emphasis or weight to your words. It commonly used on headlines, short phrases, entire sentences, captions, as we well as stand-alone words or phrases. A word of caution when using bold text in the middle of a paragraph is that you will take attention away from your surrounding text. If you want to only emphasize one word use italics rather than bold print. Italics are used for emphasis whether it's a single word or short phrase in a body of text. It can also be used for subheadings, proper names, and titles. Another way of adding emphasis to words is by using a different font color. If you do this then you will need to remember to use darker text against lighter backgrounds or your words will be difficult to read. You can also use different colors when emphasizing headlines or subheadings. You typically will find people using different text colors when adding contrast for links against other text, readability against background color, and to match font with design elements in their email.

Upgrading Your Car Audio System

When it comes to upgrading your in car entertainment system, the choice can often be quite difficult. Car audio has come on in leaps and bounds in recent years with even low end of the market car stereo systems offering capabilities that would have normally been found in top of the range models previously.

When buying a new vehicle the audio system is usually the most basic model of a large volume producer which has been re-badged with the car manufacturer's logo to give it a smarter appearance. You will be offered an upgrade by the dealer but this will probably be a higher range model from the same manufacturer so your choice will be limited. For this upgrade you will be charged a considerable amount. I have often been in this situation and have taken the basic model with a view to upgrading after taking delivery of the vehicle and this is where the fun starts.

To begin with there is the choice of the latest dab radio versus the more conventional FM. If you are on a budget you may opt to sacrifice the dab radio in order to include a CD multi-changer. Then again you may decide against the CD multi-changer in favour of a single slot CD with an ipod mp3 player input and this is before you even get to the idea of a DVD player and this is just concentrating on single unit systems as opposed to separate amplifiers and sub woofers.

I have always gone with the idea of getting the most power with good quality speakers. This does not mean that I drive around with the car stereo on full blast, rather that a system working well within its capabilities will produce a much better sound without a hint of distortion. The sound quality of the music is always my first priority.

After this I turn my attention to the radio. If you listen to music radio you have to make a decision between dab and FM. Most stores will have a display set up so you can compare the two. I mainly listen to talk radio so the sound quality is not my main concern when it comes to this point.

The CD player is really a matter of choice. I have always liked the option of a CD multi-changer but if the budget will not stretch that far an ipod mp3 player input is a good alternative. This can either be connected by a front input jack or a rear connection to the same socket as a CD multi-changer. Both options are far superior to a fm transmitter.

To summarise, decide on a budget, get your priorities in order of importance and shop around to get the best choice.
